May 31^st Afternoon

On May 31^st, BLDP founder, Jeniffer Young, was accompanied by Dr Mae C. Jemison and her Dorothy Jemison Foundation’s Executive Director, Juliea Robinson-Nelson. They visited the former residence of Soong Ching Ling in Shanghai, where they had the privilege of meeting Tang Wensheng, vice-chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and former interpreter of Mao Zedong and Prime Minister Zhou Enlai.

 

Tang Wensheng is also a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan & Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee and Advisor to the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. China Soong Ching Ling Foundation was named in memory of Soong Ching Ling (Madame Sun Yat-sen, 1893-1981) late Honorary President of the People’s Republic of China.
